I am a urologic oncology surgeon with clinical and research interest in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). My current translational research aims to understand immune infiltration, inflammation, and the tumor microenvironment in RCC to identify novel therapeutic targets to overcome resistance to systemic therapies using human tissue and novel immunocompetent mouse models. I am currently co-leader of the translational kidney cancer program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). In this capacity, I work closely with members of the Departments of Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, Pathology, Computational Biology, and Immunology.
