Born 1968 and grew up in Oslo. MD from the University of Oslo in 1993. Board certified specialist in both General Surgery and Urology since 2003 from the hospitals in Lillehammer and Bergen. Consultant Urologist at Haukeland University Hospital (2003-2008), and Chairman of the Department of Urology since 2009.
PhD in Kidney Cancer from the University of Bergen in 2006. Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Bergen in 2008, and full Professor since 2016.
President of the Norwegian Urological Association 2010-2017, and President of the Scandinavian Association of Urology since 2017.
